From 2020 to 2021, Hypros (formerly GWA Hygiene) coordinated the BMBF Project PräBea, an innovative research project to improve hand hygiene in inpatient intensive care. The project was successfully conducted at the BDH Clinic Greifswald and provided important insights for the future of hygiene control.
Innovative Technology
The project combined two advanced technologies:

- HyHelp Technology: Innovative solution for hygiene monitoring
Special Features
A core component of the implementation was a special sensor unit mounted on the ceiling, which:
- Records staff entries and exits in the patient environment
- Documents hand disinfection before entry
- Monitors hand disinfection after exit
- Enables automatic compliance measurement
