From 2020 to 2021, Hypros (formerly GWA Hygiene) coordinated the BMBF Project PräBea, an innovative research project to improve hand hygiene in inpatient intensive care. The project was successfully conducted at the BDH Clinic Greifswald and provided important insights for the future of hygiene control. ## Innovative Technology The project combined two advanced technologies: - **NosoEx System**: Our proven system for hygiene control - **HyHelp Technology**: Innovative solution for hygiene monitoring ### Special Features A core component of the implementation was a special sensor unit mounted on the ceiling, which: - Records staff entries and exits in the patient environment - Documents hand disinfection before entry - Monitors hand disinfection after exit - Enables automatic compliance measurement ## Scientific Validation The project results were successfully scientifically validated: - Publication in the renowned Journal of Hospital Infection - Comprehensive documentation of implementation - Analysis of effectiveness - Evaluation of practical applicability ## Further Information Detailed information about the project can be found at: - [BMBF Project Page](https://www.interaktive-technologien.de/projekte/praebea) - [Scientific Publication](https://www.journalofhospitalinfection.com/article/S0195-6701(23)00007-5/fulltext) ## Outlook The successful implementation of the PräBea project demonstrates the potential of digital solutions for improving hand hygiene in clinical practice. The insights gained are being incorporated into the further development of our products and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient safety.
